 NEW ORLEANS MUSICIANS RELIEF FUND

NOMRF was founded by Jeff and Karen Beninato as a result of losses suffered from Katrina. 

Jeff grew up in the 9th Ward and played bass on Bourbon Street.   He went on to perform with alternative band the dB's before becoming a producer, working recently with Twangorama. Four months after the levees failed, the NOMRF founders settled in the Midwest and collected funds from music lovers all over the world which goes straight

to the individual musicians to restore the music and heritage of New Orleans.

It is Bluzkat’s mission to introduce every child to the world of music and to teach the value of music in their lives.  By fulfilling this goal, we all acquire greater appreciation of how

music enriches our lives.  However, this cannot be done if the musicians of New Orleans are not able to promote their livelihood and passion in music to our future generations.
